A fun club that teaches children all about how to save money and learn fun things about banking, money and other neat stuff. The best part is, as children save money they are rewarded with totally cool prizes!

How to Join

If you are 12 years old or younger, just bring $10 or more to any Liberty Bank branch and start your All-Stars savings account. What's really neat is that Liberty Bank will put another $10 into your account that day JUST for joining!

What You'll Get

When you join, you will receive an All-Stars Passbook, a Savings Tracker/Activity Book and a set of stickers. The Savings Tracker lets you follow along a path as your savings grow higher and higher. You can put a star sticker on the path each time you save $25.

All-Stars Benefits

Each time you go to the bank to make a deposit, you can use the special All-Stars teller window-which is just for kids, so you don't have to wait in line with all those grownup customers! If you're in school, Liberty Bank will give you $5 if your report card has an "A" (or equivalent). Its our way of saying thanks for working so hard to get good grades.

My 9 year old daughter, Lian, just opened a savings account at Liberty Bank for Savings on Touhy in Park Ridge yesterday. The bank put $10 into her account just for opening it! And every report card she brings in with at least one A on it, she'll get $5 added to her account! What other bank does that? They gave her stickers and a passbook and an activity sheet that looks like a game and for various savings milestones reached, she'll receive prizes. There is also a special kids window that she can make her deposits at. So, parents and grandparents - open an account there for the kids (under 17).

I brought my Girl Scout troop here for the Penny Power patch and I was so impressed with the content and presentation. The girls were given an overview of how banks work, a tour of the bank, and a demonstration of real vs. counterfeit money. They also participated in a hands-on activity to teach about budgeting. Our daughter opened a savings accountat LB, and she takes great interest in monitoring her balance and talking about her short term and long term savings goal. She loves watching the interest grow, and puts aside money as often as she can to deposit in her account. The bank is very family friendly and a great part of the community.

I received a flyer from Liberty Bank about their All-Star Savings Club for kids at the Taste of Park Ridge last year, and finally took my daughters in to sign up this summer. They were so excited to put their money into a bank, and see their bank balance grow after Liberty Bank gave them their $10 start-up cash match plus their $5 for their report cards. The process generated an interesting educational discussion on how banks work, the importance of savings, and generating interest. Now, several months after our initial trip to the bank, they are still talking about their savings accounts, saving up for big-ticket items, and remembering to set aside money just to save and not spend. My hat is off to Liberty Bank for creating such a great program.

I think Liberty Bank is great and offers the best of what community banking is all about. After we opened my son's account we opened a personal checking account here and got a $50 bonus for signing up. Given these harsh economic times I thinkthat is very generous. The Bank also offers lots of community services like free paper shredding days. I think it is important to support smaller banks and businesses so when our children grow up they will be able to have choices in the products and services they buy.
