We had a great time watching the horses and jockeys. My youngest son was a little scared of the horses when we went up close to them, but he enjoyed it from a distance.
Had a fun time at the races during Family day on Sunday. Petting zoo, kids activities and pony rides for the kids. The kids also liked to roll down the hill between times of watching the rescue truck drive down the track. Very fun time for everyone.

My kids love watching the horses. We love the family days, even though they can get a bit crowded. My kids love the activities that are set up for the kids.
We love going here!! I grew up here!! The Sunday Family day is the best!! We packed a cooler, didnt have to spend a dime(except on the races)!!!! Get there early to get a picnic table!!
Went a couple of Sundays ago for Chicago Tribune/Brookfield Zoo day at the track. They had pony rides and a petting zoo and some fun for the kids. It was so hot and the lines got so long that we only stayed for 1 race then left. I've been there 2x with my little one and I really don't think it is a great place for kids but my daughter keeps asking to go back so she likes it.
Sundays are family day, so get there early to grab a spot. Pack a cooler with enough food and drinks and bring a blanket. They have a petting zoo that's always a big hit. Pony rides too...the line is sooooooo long. There is also a tent with a few crafts. Good place to just sit and relax.
My company holds it's annual summer outing here. It's always a good time. Each year, I notice that many people bring their kids. I'd like to bring my family up on a Sunday as I know my daughter would love to see the horses.
The season is over right now. Plan to attend next summer. I beleive opening day is Mother's Day and they have a great celebration. Each Sunday has a different theme. Free pony rides and petting zoo are each Sunday. Kids are free on Sundays.
Who knew the races could be so much fun for the whole family? We went on Sunday Family Day, admission was free for the kids and only $7 for the adults. The pony rides, petting zoo, and games were free for the kids to enjoy. The lines do get long for the pony rides, but my son LOVED it. We stayed for a few races which were equally exciting for the kids. The park is very well maintained and clean!
Family days are lots of fun. Kids love the pettting zoo and pony rides. My kids enjoed watching the races too. We sit on the lawn and bring toys for the kids to play with in between races
Sundays are a great way to spend a fun filled afternoon with your family. My older son likes to pick the name of the horse to win and they both love the free pony rides . From actually watching the races, to getting to check out the horses up close, there really is a lot to do at Arlington. Children are free and you can bring your own food and beverages making it budget friendly.
You can go on Weds or Thursdays for $5/$7 for adults and children are free. The races start a 1PM and the kids love to pick and cheer for their favorites. You would think of this as a kid friendly place but it really is during the week anyway.
The family fun days are such a great time for the kids. My 4 year old has found a new love for horses and asks keeps asking to have her very own horsy. This is a clean and friendly place for the whole family to have a great day.
