It is fairly expensive, but a great zoo regardless. We went with friends who had passes for us, so it was free. My kids had a great time. Love the new wolf area and bear area. We love going on free Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in November. Be prepared to walk- this is no small zoo!
We took our daughter in the early spring and really enjoyed it. Only wished that sting ray bay would have been opened and the dolphin area. We will try to visit before sting ray bay leaves in September. Great Place.
I love brookfield Zoo.. it just gets pricey. You're probably better off with membership because at the end of the day you'll pay just as much or more. Brookfield Zoo has great events.. check their calendar.
We love this zoo! We ask for a membership for every Christmas and with the extra passes that you get, it's wonderful to enjoy with a big or small group!
My daughter and my niece love going this was the first time my niece went and she is 6 so we plan on going more often. I also purchase membership to the zoo. We have our map and cross off the animals we saw and the animals we need to see next time we are here. Sometimes when the weather is hot it is hard to find the animals so we know to come back next time and look for them then. My older niece fed the sting ray the people there were very informative. We love the zoo!!!
WE LOVE THE ZOO!! We go just about once a week, so it makes our mebership well worth it! During the week is very slow, but the weekends arent that bad either. We will spend close to 5hrs there and the kids never get bored! Highly recommend it!
LOVE THE ZOO!! Brookfield is a great place to go anytime of the year. And they are continually updating and adding new exhibitls which keeps it "fresh". We caught the new dolphi show a couple of weeks ago--in my opinion, not really worth it. But if you've never seen a dolphin show, check it out. We are members and I have to say I feel that we get our money's worth. We go often and I do prefer Brookfield over Lincoln Park!
Well what more is there to say about Brookfield Zoo after giving it a 5 rating!! If I could rate it higher I would!! Absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Zoo has so much to see and do whenever I go, I feel like it is the first time. When it is really hot, it is sometimes hard to find the animals and the prices seem to get higher every year, but I still enjoy the experience because of the varity of animals and activities offered to see and do.
We love going to the zoo. Brookfield zoo is one of the nicest zoos I have been to - very clean, friendly employees and has the best exhibits. We get the family membership each year because they are a great deal and my kids do better by going for 3-4 hours at a time and not one long all day trip. Parking is very easy to get in and out of. If you are looking for a zoo trip I would definitely recommend Brookfield.
I have no idea how many times we have gone in the last few years- a bunch. We like the new bear exhibit- the bison and the bears seem so close! We alway bring swim suits and towels along for the splash pad (near the Living Coast). It's worth the Family membership to see the Children's Zoo (brush the goats ect) and Hamill Family Play Zoo (my six year old really loves the Nature Swap). Always a good time!
