Imagine a tot-sized replica of a town built especially for kids or a place where they can drive a car to the grocery store, gas up at the local gas station, be a star on stage or a pizza stand owner! Our Neighborhood is a place where children ages 1-6 can practice various roles in a community, challenging themselves to explore, imagine and create, exercising both mind and body. They may even enter the Neighborhood's "backyard" where they can climb, crawl, slide and be busy bodies in a safe environment! We have designed our Children's Neighborhood Museum specifically for children 1-6 years old. We even meet a variety of "Illinois State Learning Standards" that have been developed for Early Childhood Developmental Education. Visit us inside the Robert W. Rolek Community Center at 814 Hart Road in Round Lake.

Maximum capacity is 30 children, so get here early!
Went to a birthday party here and my boys had a blast! Kids love tiny replicas of 'adult' places. Reminded me of a smaller version of Kohl Children's Museum!
My nephew had his 3rd birthday party here and I thought it was a great place! My 2 year old loved it as did all the other toddlers. It's definitely for the younger kids and even has designated areas for babies who are crawling. The staff was very nice and constanly walking around 'picking up' after the kids, keeping it organized. We had fun!
I really like this museum. I have hosted my daughters birthday parties there and it's great because it's small so you can keep an eye on the children as they play. Also the parties there are private so that's a plus for me. If you visit during open public times, go early because it can fill up fast. Clean facility too.
