I LOVE this place in October-- it is super crowded on the weekends and the prices for all the fun stuff is overpriced, but the kiddos have fun and that's what matters. I mean where else can you see a giraffe THAT close?! Their cookies in the bakery are amazing, too!
I still think this is the best pumpkin farm around but I must say they are getting a little pricey. I would like it if they would start doing a wristband type thing where a certain amount gets you into everything.
It's always fun here, but I think it's become too much of an attraction than a farm for kids to play. The prices are a bit high to get into the animal area.
We love going to Goebbert's mostly to see the animals. I don't know anywhere else in Illinois where you can feed a giraffe and other animals that you would normally only see in a zoo. Definitely go during the week if possible when the prices to animal land are cheaper. Lots of fun stuff to do here so plan on spending at least a few hours.
My kids look forward to pumkin picking at Goebberts every year. Last year we started going to the one farther west in Hampshire. It was not so busy and more free activities. They loved watching the pumkin lountch. And the pig race. I think they like this one more because they get to ride out to the pumkin patch to pick their pumkins in the field.
The GIANT pumpkin on top of the silo is their staple. I have been visiting Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm for 20 years & now. I take my children every year... it's become an autumn tradition. Weekends are really crowded... but worth it! The apple cider doughnuts are soooo tasty... the haunted house is fun (kinda scary for the little ones, though)... animal land is awesome... there are just so many things to do! I must say, the pumpkins are overpriced. But overall, Goebbert's Farm is a great place for the whole family! =)
super fun but go early gets very crowded pupmkin eating dinosaur super fun jumping pillow pet a giraffe loads of animals and great donuts and fudge too
It's a nice place but seems to be getting expensive. $7 each for the animal land, even for littel kids. My son is 18 months and I still had to buy him a ticket. It's nice to see the animals up close though and their roasted corn is delicious!
I have been going there since I was little and now I take my children there. It has changed over the years but it is still a fun place to go to spend time with family outdoors. There have been years when money has been tight so we could not afford to pay extra for the attractions and there is still plenty of free things to do to keep the kids busy.
Went last year with our daughter and had a great time. We rode the camel TWICE! My daughter wanted to go a third time but the line got longer and longer. We have a picture of the family with a lion cub. The expressions on the cub and my daughter were identical. Cute!
A great fall activity for the whole family. They have a nice, big, clean area to sit down and eat your donuts and cider and nice grounds for the kids to run around on. A must-visit for us each year and we're in the city!
nice place to spend the day, but would definitely try to avoid going on the weekends unless you are there early! depending on your situation, you can spend a lot of money or make it an inexpensive day!
This is an annual must for my family. We round everyone up and head to the pumpkin patch. It is usually very crowded and the lines for the pony rides are long, but my daughter loves it. Goebbert's is great. They have the best carmel apple pie ever and we always get the apple cider donuts! They also have fresh produce and tons of outdoor decorations. In the upstairs they have a boutique where you can purchase costumes and decorations also. I have not visited the petting zoo, however I hear it is great. My daughter goes on the 21st for a field trip and we will head back on the 24th for our annual family outting. I think people from all over come here for all the fun!
