"Naperville Public Library - Naperville's Neighborhood of Knowledge - is our community's top stop for equitable access to knowledge and information delivered by professional and welcoming staff in a network of state of the art libraries and in a 24/7 electronic universe."
There are 3 libaries:
Nichols Library, Naper Blvd. Library and 95th Street Library.
This library on 95th street is the best library. It is nice and clean. There is a play area with a puppet theater, letter activities and puzzles. There are a ton of computers for little ones to use and play games on. The books are in GREAT condition compared to other libraries. The selection of cds with books is very large. I live on the border of Aurora and Naperville but have an Aurora address. This library alone is one of the main reasons I want to move to have a Naperville address.
My family recently moved to Naperville, and have been EXTREMELY impressed with the library systems. We go to the Nichols Library and 95th Street Library between 1-3 times per week. The storytimes, make it & take it, pajamarama, and special events are outstanding! We moved from out of state, and I cannot even begin to compare how much better this library system is! I also really appreciate how the children's areas are on a separate floor from the rest of the library... having two young children they do not want to always be "library quite" when look for and reading books. The separate areas allow all of the kids to be kids! Of course, the books, audiobook and movies are great!
This library has actually been ranked among the best in the country for its size. It's a wonderful resource for all ages. The amount of materials available for everyone is huge. They have a knowledgeable kids' staff with events that you need to register for and some that you don't. Their website is easy to navigate and to reserve books. They have free research databases (for patrons) to use as adults or older children. It's wonderful!
This library had been ranked the best Library in the State. If you have not checked it out, you need to. The amount of books, video's DVD's is beyond what you would expect. The staff knows their stuff and the kids area has computers, puzzles and fun activities for kids all year long.
