the most fun family bowling there is the mom and tot bowl was fantastic everyone is so nice and the whole place is super super clean great place for kids
I went here with a playgroup a few years ago and we loved it. They had the bumpers set up for the kids and ramps for little kids to push the ball down. The seating is super comfy and roomy and I love that you can order lunch and drinks. This is a great cold weather outing. I can't wait to go back--fun for parents and kids!
We have so much fun when we go. The last time we went was for the 8:00 pm balloon drop on New Year's eve. We had dinner, counted down for the balloon drop and then bowled. It was a great way to celebrate the New Year.
The menu is a bit limited but they have some great options.
I highly recommned the morning mom/tot program. It is only $5 per child and adults are free every day. It can get VERY busy in the summer mo. so you really need to be there by 10am. Our last trip we got there at 10:15 and had to wait until 11:30. They have a lot of camps there who use half the bowling lanes. There is still a free coffee bar for parents, but no longer is there free yogurt and fruit. There is now a special menu that is very reasonable to order from. I actually asked for a regular kids menu since it was 11:30. They extend the time for the bowling to accomidate people who were there eary to bowl but couldn't. The menu was very reasonable @ $7 each. My kids both got the pizza which came with a breadstick, drink, and a sundae for dessert. Adult lunch menu items were $8 which also came with a drink. We were about to eat right there while we bowled and got 2 games in. They kids had a great time. Have gone 3 times already and will go again soon for sure!
I think Pinstripes really does a nice job of appealing to both adults and kids. Their bowling programs are a hit and I just recently attended my 20 year high school reunion there. No one took advantage of the activities, but the ambience was nice.
The food is expensive there and I don't believe it's actually a kid-friendly venue. It seems more for upscale clientele. The bowling area has couches and a waitress who will take your drink orders. Hardly your typical bowling alley.
We've been to the Pinstripes in Barrington. It's a great atmosphere and really caters to children. The kids always have a blast. The food is priced right too.
I have taken my family to Pinstripes for the mom and tot bowling as well as during peak hours. This has to be the cleanest, brightest bowling alley I have ever been too. My whole family enjoys going, and at $5.00 for 2 hours of bowling during the mom & tot playtimes it's an incredible deal.
We went to the morning parents and tots program where the children bowl for $5, parents bowl for free, and free coffee bar/yogurt and fresh fruit tables are provided. The staff was very friendly and they were good about replenishing the fruit and yogurt, and the place seemed very clean. My only complaint is that it is unlimited bowling, and the place was super packed (likely since it was during Thanksgiving break)so my daughter and I had to wait for over 1 hour to get the opportunity to bowl.
We attended a kids birthday party here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kids had a great time bowling. They have devices that kids can use to help get their ball down the lane. It was bery nice. The food was OK.
