Satisfy growling stomachs at Safari Land's Atlantis Restaurant. Ample seating is available for your pack of hungry cubs.
I prefer Chuck E Cheeses (and I am not a big fan of that place either!) Safari Land is more expensive, the security is not the best 'cause access and exit are not controlled, you have to watch your kids very carefully because this place gets crowded and there are kids running and pushing smaller kids all around the place! not a good idea for parents with small children. The roller coaster and rides are fun for kids with age to ride
Went there with my 4 kids for something to do....all of them had fun! There was something for all of them. Kosmic bowling, video games, rides, and an "adult" beverage at the bar. Food was good and the staff was friendly. We will be going back again.
Went after school one day with my daughter and her friend. As my daughter gets older, she likes this place more and more. They went on everything and there were no lines. They can't wait to go back.
Went on Saturday with an out of town cousin. He loved it. The only complaint we have is that you buy the wristband for unlimited rides but their height requirements limit you. We still got our money's worth with the bands but the kids could not go on all the rides.
Their bowling alley looks nice, but there was a very high pitched sound coming from the speakers and none of the workers seemed to even attempt to fix it.
We then had their food (pizza) and that was very greesy and over priced.
Went today with the YouSwoop coupons for wristbands. Both kids were 44 inches and they were able to go on all the rides. One did not want to go on the roller coaster and tilt-a-whirl because they were too fast. Overall, they both had a great time and a lot of fun.
My kids are 3.5 and 5.5, but not yet 44 inches tall, therefore they had the wrist band that would have allowed them to ride the 5 big rides 2 times each, but because they weren't 44 inches tall, they were only allowed to ride the roller coaster twice. So, if your kids aren't 44 inches tall yet, I'd pass.
I have a 3 year old and we decided to go to Safari land because I got a coupon for an all ride pass on youswoop at a great deal.. The problem is he couldn't really go on everything other than Carousel, Lion's Den, and the Coaster. We went on a Tuesday in the evening and the place was empty so it was perfect for a little one. The best thing to do is buy the ride tickets individually if you have a little one. The coaster was a little too fast for him- if there's no one there you can ask the operator to have it go slower.. He really enjoyed it even if it was 3 things he got to do.
My daugther loves it there.... there is just so much to do. i love it to I like goin in the snake pit with the kids, and the roller coster... great place for a birthday party!!!
We went for the first time today, and stayed 6 hours! I think that's some kind of record for us. The girls had a great time between the rides, climbing area, and games. We had lunch here too. The food was pretty good, and I liked that they had healthy options like pasta and salads to choose from. I agree with other reviewers that this place has the potential to be pretty pricey. The wristbands are a good value and include 2 rides each on the go karts, roller coaster and flight simulator, plus unlimited turns on the other attractions (bumper cars, tilt-a-whirl, monkey jump, lion's den and merry go round). Take note, though, that you can't substitute the special rides. My daughters had no interest in the flight simulator (way too scary for them), but we couldn't exchange it for extra rides on the roller coaster or go karts. Also, my younger daughter went on the roller coaster once but was too scared to go on again, but we weren't allowed to give her extra roller coaster ride to my older daughter, even though there were no lines and many empty seats on the roller coaster. All in all, a good place to take the kids (I would say at least pre-school age, if not older) for some indoor fun.
Great for older kids who are able to enjoy the rides including a rollercoaster and arcade games, too expensive for toddlers because the few token rides they can ride are pricey and don't last much. Other than pricey place it is a great fun for all ages.
I haven't been here in a while but my friend and I both agree that they have made improvements here. It seemed cleaner, a better variety of food, they have cosmic bowling now. The rides are the same but they do focus them towards kids 36-52" in height. Yes, it is pricey but if you don't go that often, it is worth it. I must also give a shout out to the management. One of our kids was crying about going on a ride and he talked to her and showed her how it worked and let her go on for free. She loved it so much she wanted to go again. He didn't have to do that but he was very kind and personable. Those kind of touches make going to a place all that much worth while.
I took my niece and nephew there a couple of years ago and we did have a blast there. They enjoyed many rides, including little roller coaster and go-carts.
Safari Land, Lombard Illinois
Well as you can see we have gone to a number of places that are all filled with games and fun for the kids. Safari Land was really pack and very loud even with that said we had a great time, we played games, bowled, and ate it was worth the trip and the kids had fun.
