The Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park is a family-friendly art appreciation environment set in a two-mile-long park setting, complete with paved biking/walking/jogging paths between McCormick Blvd. and the north branch of the Chicago River. It is always open and always free. Printable self-tour guides for adults and children are available on the park's website. There are over 60 sculptures located in the park between Dempster and Touhy in Skokie. Parking is also free within the park and there are toilet and picnic areas available. The Park is handicapped accessible.
Great walking trails, lots of room for a couple of moms to walk together. Also is two laned, so bikers can pass you easily. The sculptures are interesting conversation starters ;) I really enjoy walking the trail with my kids.
