Ready for a vacation destination that has it all year-round?
There are over 250,000 sq. ft. of indoor waterparks at the Wilderness! From the Wild WaterDome, a unique indoor waterpark that allows you to tan indoors year-round to the Klondike Kavern with its lazy river, tube slides and dumping buckets and the Wild West with Bumper Boats, there is something for everyone at the Wilderness!
During the summer, when you include the outdoor waterparks, the water splashing fun adds up to more than an amazing 500,000 square feet of amazing thrills!
There are many attractions and activities that are up on dry land as well!
this is a great family place something for everyone my teen could go do the zip lines and have free run of the whole place and my younger son loved the wave pool they even have a monks restaurant on grounds with the best burgers ever and try the fried pickles back at the wilderness make sure to get the punch card for all your activities and get up at 8:30 for the duck races all kids leave with a rubber duck plus chance for prizes we also did the t-shirt tye dye as 1 of our kids activities you really never need to leave the hotel now they have opened a rope climbing course too
We had a BLAST here ! Great for all ages, so much to do, we have to plan a trip back to do stuff we missed. We went in the off-season where the prices were lower, but would love to go back in the summer and check out the outdoor amenities. Three very large waterparks, a few arcades and huge climbing/ball/play area for the kids. My kids did not want to leave. My only vice is not as many food options as we'd like. It would be nice if they had a place to grab a quick breakfast, they only offered donuts/dry cereal at a few places. But you could always bring your own food since the rooms come with a fridge and microwave.
The price was great for the activities they offer but I didn't like how all the water parks were so far apart. They do, however, offer shuttle buses to get you around the grounds which is a plus. Overall, it was an ok place to stay and I would visit again.

This was our fourth trip to this resort, and everyone had a great time. The chlorine levels in the various waterparks seemed normal again, so we didn't have the discomfort suffered in our last trip. The kids activities were fun, and as usual, the girls enjoyed the wave pool the best. I recommend going with friends if you can, as we did this time. It's fun in the evenings to gather in one room and let the kids watch a movie while the parents visit and enjoy an adult beverage or two.
This place is great. Lots of different waterparks with different activities. Indoor and outdoor. Many different overnight stay packages too. We have stayed in a suite, 2 bedroom, and a condo. Friends have stayed in apartment type area. Free shuttle buses. Ziplined this summer..new atraction! Close to all Wisc Dells Amenities. Easy to go back to your room to cook a meal. Free lifevests to use at all the waterparks.
This place is awesome. There were indoor and outdoor waterparks, slides, parks, go garts. I can't wait to go back. We went on a timeshare promotion and all we paid were for the hotel taxes with came out to be like 70 dollars. Then the next day we went through a 2 hours presentation and that was it. I was surprised. We had a great room and access to all the waterparks. We saved so much money I can't begin to tell you. The best thing is that its in the Dells so if you don't want to eat on the resort (which can be pricey) you can go and eat somewhere else. I can't wait to go back.
We went for our first time midweek this summer. We had a room in the Wild West section with two queen beds, a sofa sleeper, wet bar and snack area. The room was expensive (about 260.00 midweek per night plus tax and resort fee) and was pretty worn. The carpet was buckling in spots, spots on couch...a little disappointing. The waterparks were fun, but really spread out. None of them had enough to occupy the kids for an entire day, so we park-hopped a lot. The resort is really vast so we did a lot of walking. Highlights included many restaurants and poolside bars, the coolest lazy river complete with a conveyer belt and slide, cool arcades and glow-in-the-dark 3D mini golf. The four-person family slides were awesome!!
We've been going here for the past 4 years. It's a great place for the kids, however, we see it going downhill a bit every year. Things need to get cleaned, painted and updated...especially their waterpark.
We enjoyed our time at the Wilderness Resort. Eventhough our kids are younger (both under 5 years old), there was still enough stuff for them to do to enjoy themselves. The only negative I have for the resort is that they close down one indoor water park during the week in the winter months when occupancy is lower and we were not made aware of that when we booked our room. Other than that, it is a great resort and we would definitely go back again.
We visit the Wilderness a couple times a year & it is THE BEST WATERPARK RESORT IN AMERICA!!! There are so many things to do while you're there, it's almost impossible to do everything. They have the coolest water slides! The best part is there are plenty of family slides & raft rides so the little ones aren't stuck in the baby/toddler area with the other parent all day! ;) The Hurricane is the best slide there... but they're ALL awesome! Each water park within the Wilderness is a blast, especially the indoor wave pool! Those waves are powerful! The hotel rooms are comfortable, clean & decorated with nature in mind. The new zip lines are a ton of fun! ...a MUST DO while you're there. The new Haunted House is actually kinda scary... it starts off with a mirror maze... then goes straight into the "haunted" part which was a lot of fun! Definitely not "cheesy." Even my 10~year~old was scared! LoL
The Timberland Play Park is one of the kids' favorite "dry" activities to do. It's 3 levels of tunnels... slides... games & neat "air guns" that shoot little foam balls all around. Definitely unique!
The Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells is, in my opinion, the most FUN, family friendly indoor (& outdoor!) waterpark by far. : )
