Candy Bear Lane is an old-fashioned candy store and make your own stuffed animal store that also specializes in parties that provide interactive fun for kids of all ages.
We have hundreds of varieties of old-fashioned candy from flying saucers and candy buttons to wax bottles and wax lips. We also have 21 colors of M & Ms and 12 flavors of Pucker Powder Candy Art.
Our signature item is the "Candy Bear"- an 8" animal that you hand stuff with 30 pieces of hand-picked candy.
We had our 4 year old son's birthday party at Candy Bear Lane in July. He had the GREATEST day of his life thanks to the ladies at Candy Bear Lane! The party space was perfect for my son and his 12 friends. The staff did a great job keeping all the kids entertained and happy! As a parent, it was one of the easiest birthday parties I've thrown. All of the other parents were impressed too. Couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate a kids birthday!
We were thrilled with how our 6 year old's birthday party turned out! We had 15 kids from 3 - 6 years old and Barb did a tremendous job of keeping the party moving and interacting with the kids. They loved picking out their bears and stuffing them with candy! It was a perfect party and we highly recommend Candy Bear Lane!
I am pleased to say I held my daughter's 10th birthday party here. It was quite a success. With Lisa's help I was able to entertain sixteen 10 year olds ( along with my younger son) for the duration of the party. The bear stuffing was very hands on and the other staff members helped out with the limbo. I was able to serve cupcakes and juice and allow my daughter to open all of her presents. Also, no decorations are needed because the rooms are painted in such a cute/ whimsical fashion. Many of the parents asked "how did I find this place". It was an event that only one kid had done before. I felt I have discovered a new cool first for my daughter and her friends.
We celebrated my 3 year old's birthday party here a few weeks ago - it was great! The kids really enjoyed it, age ranges are from 2-10 - and Lisa was really great to work with! Thanks so much for the fun!
I found out about this place thanks to Kidwinks just in time because I was starting to organize my son's 2nd B-day party. What a cute place! everybody (kids and adults) loved the place and kept asking my husband "how did you find this cute place?" the staff is SO friendly and helpful, Lisa (one of the owners) assisted me during the whole party with the bear making process and games, I did not have to worry about anything, I just had to make sure my guest were on time, to bring food, beverages and cake and the rest was on them, and a big plus is their rates (very affordable) and the fact that they only charge you for the children. I think they now have a $50 fee for the use of the party room (-_-) not soo nice but I think it's still affordable and worth the $ for the cute place and great service.
We were lucky enough to get a gift certificate for CB lane and we fell in love with it immediately. My daughter who is 4 just had to have her birthday party there! They did a great job of organizing the party and kept 20 four year olds busy for 1 1/2 hours!! All of the kids loved having the opportunity to pick out their bear and stuff it with candy. They had a lot of variety for the type of bear or animal to stuff and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Plus, the party is very reasonable. When you consider the fact that you don't have to buy decorations, crafts, or goodie bags to send home (since they are taking the bears with them), it really is a great party for the price. I would highly recommend Candy Bear Lane to anyone.
We had a bday party for our 11 year old daughter here. She and her friends enjoyed the "young" activity of choosing and animal, clothes for it, and stuffing it with candy in the comfortable and fun second floor space. Our 3 and 8 year old sons had a great time too. The owner provided a karaoke machine and we brought a few current popular CDs, so the girls were able to do a more "grown up" activity as well. There was plenty of space for our group of 12. The kids had subway sandwiches and then cupcakes at the banquet table. (Hint - Subway is steps away, and they cut the sandwiches into 3" portions for us.) The owner was involved enough to keep things going smoothly and to keep us on schedule, but she also gave us freedom and privacy. The shop is adorable. The second floor space for parties is very comfortable and pleasant. The price is very reasonable.

PERFECT!! I cannot say enough about how much my two girls, ages 11 and 7, love Candy Bear Lane!!! We had a birthday party there in February 2010 for my 11 year old and all of the kids had a great time. After the kids were done building their animals they each made a craft using colored candy which was a huge hit. I heard from lots of parents after the party about how much fun their child had and the prices are more than reasonable!! My girls love it and I love it too!!! The store is adorable and the owners are more than helpful. I would highly recommend Candy Bear Lane for a birthday party or just for an afternoon outing!!
We recently had our daughters 8th birthday party at Candy Bear Lane.The kids all loved it and so did we! Lisa and Barb were wonderful; very helpful and friendly. The store itself is so charming and clean. The 2nd floor party area is perfect for games, treats, cake. Good pricing on the packages. My daughter and her friends are still talking about it. It is also a fun place just to visit. The candy store is so wonderful; all different types of candies and the animals to stuff. I definately recommend this store!
WOW! What a cute store... We stopped in after seeing their cute window display. This place is ADORABLE....My youngest turns 7 in April and we are going to take him and his friends on a quick train ride from LaGrange and have a party on their 2nd floor. Perfect!! I can't wait. They are so nice to work with too!! ;)
I was looking for something new and different for my daughter's 7th birthday and stumbled upon Candy Bear Lane one Saturday afternoon while shopping in Downers Grove. I found exactly what I was looking for and knew right away this was going to be a great experience. We were so happy with my daughter's party and the kids were thrilled with all the entertainment options they had. Plus, when they saw all the stuffed animals and realized they could pick out the candy themselves, they jumped for joy. I love that I was able to stay local and support a Downers Grove business. I wish the owners much success!
This was the best birthday party ever! My three year old daughter loved every minute of it. The staff at Candy Bear Lane go out of their way to make this a special party for your little one. An adorable store, adorable ideas for the party - all around PERFECT. I recommend it highly.
