Since ny last review, I signed my son up for the summer session which has now ended. I have to say that I was not all that satisfied with the classes--I guess a program like this is only as good as the instructor, and our's consistently underwhelmed me. He was a young male that always just seemed to be going through the motions in a long night of classes. I felt like my son was just a number and it wasn't a nice feeling. He never really greeted or said good bye to the kids which is not the way it should be. He sort of just stopped with instruction and the parents took the initiative to walk the child out of the water. I expected so much more based on the school's mission statement on their website, plus the rave reviews on Kidwinks. However, I have decided to give the school another shot, as said instructor has accepted a job elsewhere and will not be returning.

I agree with these reviewers as I have only heard PHENOMENAL feedback form current participants in the program. Especially regarding how much is learned so fast there

We won free lessons through a Kidwinks contest and LOVE this program!! My 6 year old is doing so well because of the 4/1 ratio. The instructors are really great, my daughter is learning so much and we couldn't be happier. No one else around has such small teacher to children ratio. You can't beat it. THANK YOU KIDWINKS!!

Our kids learned more in one summer session than in 2 years of park district lessons! The staff are great, and the kids always look forward to their lessons. Highly recommended!

We have been with Chicago Swim School (CSS) since it stared. Yes, your child will learn to swim. With the 4-to-1 ratio of students/teacher, your child gets ample time swimming with the instructor. Our four-yr old has been swimming now since he 2.5 yrs old. The swim instructors are typically parents, meaning they understand and work w/children's quirkiness. Once the "test instructor" realized that my 4-yr old refused to "test" to pass to the next level, he hid behind a pillar so he wasn't seen. And then my son did all the moves (asked from his teacher), allowing hm to pass on to the next swim level. CSS also teaches water safety. Typically, one class per session has the children wearing life jackets in the water. This proved extremely handing this summer when my son/husband fell off a jet ski. My 4-yr old calmly floated in the water while my husband fixed the situation. At the dock, my husband asked me, "Where did he learn about life jackets? It totally helped us." CSS service is top notch. They answer your questions and address issues quite quickly. A gold star for this swim school. Check it out.

The staff of Chicago Swim School is so professional and patient with the kids. They really know what they're doing and it shows in the rapid progress of the students. I highly recommend them! They care and they appreciate your business!

LOVE Chicago Swim School! Class sizes are small and taught by adults not local teenagers. Children are in the water not sitting on the sides waiting for their turn. Arlington Heights pool and locker rooms (in local apt building) are small but can be overlooked by the quality of the swim program.
