An Introduction to Scholastic Creativity Creative Corners Preschool is designed to gently prepare your child for their future educational encounters. Children are introduced to the lively, limitless world around them in weekly study units such as colors, shapes, and letters. Art, music, large and small motor skills development, and imaginative play are included in the curriculum. Each class meets twice a week on a continual nine-month basis. Children must be three or four years old by September 1, of the year they enroll. In order to keep the cost of this class reasonable, we ask that parents volunteer in the classroom periodically. Parents will provide a snack and drink on an assigned day. The Des Plaines Park district offers the option to add Fridays, and afternoon enrichment classes to the Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs classes.
