Located at the Joy Faith Knapp Music Center, Merit School of Music, a nonprofit community music school in the West Loop, offers high-quality music instruction at an affordable price to students of all ages and abilities. Merit offers early childhood programs, instrumental and voice instruction for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students, private lessons as well as adult classes.
More advanced student musicians can work their way to auditioning for the Alice S. Pfaelzer Tuition-free Conservatory. Instruction is offered after school and on the weekends, over the summer and during school through an off-site Bridges: Partners in Music program.
