The office is painted with vivid kid-friendly murals and the waiting room has video games, trains and other kid favorites; kids get to select a video to watch during their exam; the staff is friendly and patient; and kids are rewarded with a prize from the treasure chest on their way out.
All I can say is "Thank God for Wee Care!" My daughter, who is TERRIFIED of needles, needed 3 baby teeth pulled because they were not coming out by themselves. Her ortho said to have her dentist do it. Well, her dentist is MY dentist (in other words, not a pediatric dentist), and he wanted her to go an oral surgeon. I knew the oral surgeon would be very institutional (again, not a pediatric specialist), so I took her to Wee Care based on the great reviews by our kidwinks members and Nina. I am SO glad I did! Dr. McAllister is wonderful, and in the initial consult gave my daughter a pink bubble bum scented nose mask to practice with for the laughing gas she planned to use for the extractions. On the next visit, she pulled one tooth, and my daughter didn't even know she had done it until she was handed the bag with her tooth in it. The next visit she pulled the remaining two teeth, and the only time my daughter had any (minor) distress was because of the sounds she heard as her teeth came out. She felt no pain, and had no idea she got shots. And I'm never going to tell her! I highly recommend Dr. McAllister. Her friendly manner and fun office puts the kids at ease immediately, and she's a skillful dentist.
Wee Care is fantastic!! Both of my kids have been going there and have looking foward to their next appointment from day 1!! Dr. McAllister is wonderful and every additional staff member there is just as wonderful. The office is amazing!!
This is a great pediatric dentistry practice. My son looks forward to going to the dentist and is reluctant to leave. The staff are very calm and patient and work hard to make your child comfortable. They helped my daughter feel comfortable with her first cleaning with no problems!
My only complaint is that it's expensive. I know all the toys and DVD players and movies cost money, but wow! A cleaning for my kids costs more than it does for me. And the appointment is only about 20 minutes!
Dr McAllister is great. My daughter had had really bad tartar before her first appointment and Dr McAllister took care of it quickly and gently and it hasn't been a problem since. We've been back three times since and my daughter actually enjoys going. The toys and videos are part of it, but the super friendly and very qualified staff are what make this place great. They even have a monthly raffle for a gift certificate for Toys R Us for cavity free kids.
This is the best pediatric dentist around. Extremely friendly staff, and Dr. McAllister is great with the kids. They have the children in mind with every detail, down to the little prize they can pick out when they are finished. The kids actually look forward to going. Highly recommended!
