Monday Jan. 23 - Sunday Jan. 29, 2012 It's National Pie Day today, January 23rd. Celebrate by serving pie for dessert! Check our Coupon Section below for info on a FREE slice of pie today or $2 off a whole pie all week at Bakers Square. We went to see the movie We Bought a Zoo over the weekend. The movie was good, with heartwarming message. A little poignant at times (in other words, I cried), but mostly fun. The best part, though, was our seats. We went to the new AMC Theater at Randhurst and grabbed the front row seats. Yes, for the first time in my life, I plotted to get that front row. Why? Because the front row seats at this theatre are comfy, cushy lounge chairs that recline all the way to a prone position. VERY comfy way to see the movie! The girls are hooked, and so am I! Oh, and another reason I enjoyed our outing: it was FREE! I used the points from my Discover card to get a $50 gift card and 4 coupons for small popcorn (for 45 points). Doin' the happy/free dance! Nina and I will be on WGN's Midday News on Tuesday with some remedies for cabin fever.
