You’re invited to join us at Global Explorers Kids World Carnival!, a family-friendly fundraiser Fri., Feb. 17, 2012, 6-9 pm Luther Memorial Church 2500 W Wilson Ave World Carnival! will be a global Carnival celebration featuring music, dancing, an exhibition of masks created by children, face painting, art activities, costume contests, bead throws, a silent auction, and an international feast.
There is a $20 suggested donation in advance ($5 children), or $25 suggested donation at the door ($7 children) which includes food and entertainment. For a donation of $150, sponsors can receive a table of 8 and company recognition.
Global Explorers Kids is a Lincoln Square based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing children with the opportunity to explore the diversity of the world’s peoples and helping them to understand and respect different cultures, using the arts as a catalyst towards learning. Proceeds from the event will help provide free programs and scholarships to children from low-income families.
