We just got back from this and it was really great! They had fire dancers, costume contests for different age groups and a really great DJ that had everyone dancing! There's something to do for everyone!!
We went the first night it was open (Friday), and loved it. The place was nearly deserted; my bet is it will be a different story on Saturdays. We had the Halloween Passes, which are a good value at $20 - you get 5 Pier Park rides; entry to Chicago's Funhouse Maze; and a camel, llama or burro ride or admittance to the petting zoo. The DJ inside was awesome - there were plenty of people dancing. There were many free shows and performers everywhere - the Houdiniesque water escape was good, as were the fire dancers. The camel ride was extremely short; my girls found they actually enjoyed the petting zoo more. They even got to pet a lemur - they're incredibly soft. The rides were a blast, though the ferris wheel terrified my oldest daughter because it went so high. If your kids are apprehensive about going on, listen to them!
