Cute local ice cream shop next to a big grassy area. In the summer, they show movies outside. We don't go as often as we'd like as it is a bit expensive.
Cute place located right next to a park. (Not a park with swings and slides) The park has benches and grass. I think I enjoy sitting in the park area more than I enjoy the icecream...you can get that anywhere.
We just discovered this place last summer and are big fans! We love to go to independent stores instead of chains and this place has a lovely location next to a park and most importantly, delicious ice cream. We have not found parking to be a problem--we go in the evening and park in a lot for a business that is closed. Great flavors and rich creamy ice cream!
I'm not a fan of this place. They share parking with a condo building across the street and I can never find a spot to park on the street. I always have to park in another's business' lot. Plus it is pricey and not worth it.
The only thing that I would add to all the rave reviews of the sweet delights is that we enjoy taking grandma here- she can't make it up their stairs, but she loves to sit in the park with the granddaughters.
This spot puts a lot of effort into being more than just a place to grab a cone. It is situated in a beautiful home-like dwelling. They have an Easter egg hunt and all sorts of concerts. The flavors are truly gourmet too! The only negative is that the fare is not so figure-flatering:)
The ice cream here is delish. They have a great little porch that we like to sit on and enjoy a nice summer evening. A great way to slow down and spend some quality time with your family. My son also went on a school field trip where they show the kids how they make their ice cream. He loved it!!
I don't care for this place. I think they are too loud when they have their concerts and shows outside. It is disturbing in the peaceful, residential area.
Awesome ice cream place... cute little shop. We took our daughter to her very first Easter egg hunt here in April. It was so fun! Afterwards we got ice cream and it was delicious! Love Capannari, it is my new favorite place!
We love Cap's! We live nearby, so we can bike over and park in the bike racks. The ice cream is creamy, fresh and delicious. Flavors vary throughout the season, but they've always got about 20 stock flavors that are very good. Prices are good, considering the quality. I love getting a "double kiddie" scoop for $3, which gives you a regular single scoop worth of ice cream in your cup, but two flavors. I have some favorites I always want -- black raspberry chip, java chip, double chocolate peanut butter, etc. -- and the double kiddie lets me get my faves and try a new flavor too. Single kiddie is a good size for the little ones, and I think it's about $2.25 for that. Park next door gives them a place to run. Watch for movie nights and other events throughout the summer, too. It's a really fun place to go and hang out with your kids.
Capannari's ice cream is delicious! The kiddie cones are a perfect size. The adjacent park is a perfect place to sit and let the kids run off some of their ice cream.
