Johnny Rockets is an international restaurant chain that provides the food, fun and friendliness reminiscent of feel-good Americana. On June 6, 1986, the first Johnny Rockets opened on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, offering guests family friendly service and great food in a fun and nostalgic atmosphere.
Every kids meal includes a kids sized American fries & choice of soda pop or milk.
I was surprised to hear that there is suppose to be singing and fun happening here! It is very overpriced for mediocre food, the service is outrageously slow. The servers seem to be either new to serving or just hate their job, because they seemed bored to tears. For a family of 4 to just have burgers, 2 drinks, 2 shakes and fries it was $47 including tip. I'd try Ed Debevic's in Lombard if you want a fun rock n roll music atmosphere!
Wondering when JR is going to go out of business; it's too bad, because the concept is good and I'm sure other restaurants in the chain do well. I've been there three times, and the service extremely slow all three times, even when there's not a lot of people in the place. The staff does not seem like they are having much fun with the patrons either. JR should have a lot of singing and audience participation and fun; the opposite has occured on each visit. People are catching on and not going back so JR management should look at this as a sign in a down economy
