Wonderful ice cream with TONS of flavors to choose from. Its not unusual to find the line for ice cream going outside and around the building. Lots of nice little gardens to eat ice cream around. Great employees and service
Oh yum! Delicious ice cream in huge portions - really, a single scoop should be called a single "mound". I have never known my daughters to not finish their ice cream, but here they just couldn't. We ordered double scoops, not knowing how large they were. The parlor itself has a nice, old fashioned feel. They also serve coffee and a few baked goods - the iced sugar cookies were beautiful. There are a few tables inside, and limited parking in the back lot. The town itself is also nice, with beautiful homes.
I'll admit, I am somewhat of an ice cream addict. I'm always looking for a good ice cream place. I recently moved to this area, and I happened to come across the Plush Horse. It was love at first taste! The ice cream is delicious! And if you are worried about trying a new flavor, you just need to ask for a sample before ordering. And you sure do get your monies worth! The serving are huge! A banana split may cost about $8, but it really needs to be shared so the cost is not too bad. Trust me, it needs to be shared... I tried to eat it by myself and failed. :-) They also have kids' cones for about $2.50, and they are pretty large. My 3 year old and 5 year old don't even finish them. And they even have a smaller cone (Pony cone, I think it's called) for really young kids. Come check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
This is a place both my husband and I visited as youngsters. It has a very old fashioned ice cream parlor feel, and the treats are delicious. Parking can be tricky here.
