The intention is that kids should be introduced to an adult experience of dining out--rather than adults more commonly being subjected to a designed "children's environment" and less than memorable food. For one, Southern Cooking is readily accessible to all age groups: from grandparents to infants. From real macaroni and cheese (made with 4 cheeses) to chicken and vegetable dishes that are made from scratch, the regular fare is immediately appreciated by even the most parochial tastes. For the more adventurous or older children, there are plenty of dishes from the adult menu to choose from--customized by choosing your own vegetable side dishes. For the others, Wishbone offers a special Children's Menu available for breakfast, lunch and dinner (till the 7 PM "adult swim").

My family loves this restaurant. It is a comfortable place to have an adult meal with a small child in toe. The quality of food is great. They are also in the NPR member card with gives a buy 1 get 1 free discount.
We love Wishbone. It was one of the first restaurants we took our daughter to. I am a total breakfast person, so I love the pancakes, biscuits and gravy, omelets, etc. but they also have really good dinner food. The black bean cakes are amazing. The prices are reasonable and they are definitely child friendly. On the weekends there is usually a wait, but we have also gone on the weekdays and no wait. If you live in Lakeview, you should definitely go with your kids!
We had brunch here with some family and it was great! The food was delicious and they have a great kids menu. The restaurant is loud (but not too loud) and very accomodating to kids. It was a bit crowded and we kind of lost track of our waiter for a while, but it was overall a very experience.
