Its food and prices and its airy, unconventional setting in what used to be a Goodyear Tire garage - attracted the widest cross-section of people found anywhere in the Midwest. At lunch, talent agency models sit with their salads side-by-side with social workers and tradesmen chowing down pork chops and collard greens. At dinner, Lyric Opera goers rush to make their overtures while families of Blackhawk fans dash to catch the national anthem before a game.

The food was good and the atmosphere nice. A little overrated but there is plenty on the menu that kids will enjoy. And it won't break the bank either.
This place has all the right comfort foods. The atmosphere is very casual and low key. Good old southern style food is the specialty. The Mac and cheese and the fried chicken are a hit with my kids. They love it. Most of the other food items are pretty kid friendly. Tuesdays kids eat free making this place perfect for a little lunch or dinner if you happen to find yourself in the city, It can get pretty crowded at lunchtime.
Wishbone offers wonderful southern food. The blackened chicken is so good! It comes with 2 sides. I usually choose macaroni and cheese as one because my kids love it that much!
oh man, this brings back some memories - i used to work right down the street - (note: if you go to see OPRAH, come on over, it's not far) - they have a great southern menu, and you can order off the menu, OR go through old-school cafeteria style with a tray and pick out the fresh fixins - red beans and rice, grits, sausages, chicken, fish you name it - it's all good - lots of things for the kids to eat too from mac and cheese to simple southern fixins
