The Arboretum is South Barrington’s newest and most exciting place to shop, dine and play. The open-air center is named for the lush treescapes and gardens of its landscape, and for the large tree farm that formerly stood on the site. An upscale mix of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues includes the country’s first Village Road Show Gold Class Cinemas, the ultimate cinema experience and a new way to go to the movies; L.L.Bean’s first Midwest outdoor gear and apparel store; and the incomparable Pinstripes Bowling/Bocce/Bistro.
I am the store manager of a new store in the arboretum called Crazy 8. It is a children's clothing store that offers great quality at affordable prices. I have to say the mall is starting to see more traffic and build with new stores coming in all the time. The marketing team is wonderful and really have awesome events throughout the year.
Another beautiful outdoor shopping area, although I'd rather go to Deer Park only because the stores I typically go to are close together. Here they are all over. When you have time to walk around and it's nice weather, it is nice to be outside... But with two littles, I'd rather get my stuff done and leave.
Great place to shop. During the holiday they have free carriage rides and pictures with Santa. Lots of kid stores too. Easy to get to with the expressway right there.
Their grand opening weekend was nice. The little arts & crafts sale, free balloons, the Kohl Children's museum bus, coupons for shops & restaurants. I can't wait until all of the shops are open!
