For the first toy of Christmas, Eric recommends....
Citiblocs! Citiblocs are high quality wooden construction blocks cut from certified renewable forests in New Zealand. Their specific size, shape and weight allows building that is simply not possible with other building toys. Certified safe and non toxic, Citiblocs are recommended for ages 3+.
Kidwinks note: Citiblocs were a huge hit with our kids (ages 6 - 10) and others at the Toy & Game Fair. Eric showed them how to make bridges (yes, bridges - we couldn't belive it!) and they kept coming back to these simple blocks. These blocks are truly fun for all ages - even the adults had a blast making and tearing down huge towers and towns with the kids. Eric had no hesitation to cite Citiblocs as his first recommendation, and we know why!
You can find Citiblocs at Eric's store, Gepetto's Toy Box, in Oak Park.
If you're an online shopper, you can also find them on Amazon.com Citiblocs
I am voting for Citiblocks as my favorite toy for Christmas. I currently have 4 grandchildren with one on the way. Two boys and two girls that would all enjoy playing with these Citiblocks. I am always looking for something they can all share when spending weekends at Grandma's house. This would be idle!
I am voting for Citiblocs as my favorite toy. They are great for boys & girls and blocks have a wide range ages that can play with them. This is a toy that really uses a child's imagination and they can play with for a long time!
This is my favorite toy of Christmas. Though I have not tried citiblocs, my daughter is fascinated by any kind of building activity. I love a toy that allows such open ended play. I think this would be a great addition to any block set!
This is my favorite. My kids have so many toys but blocks are their favorite. My 6, 4, and 2 year old love building towers and anything else their imagination comes up with. With blocks, I really don't think you can go wrong. This is a toy that can also appeal to many different ages.
I think the blocks are a great way to get kids to use their imagination because with all the updated technolgy of computers and video games sometimes they forget to that. Plus as a parent I forgot almost how much fun blocks can be so I myself really enjoyed them just as much as the kids.
I just gave Citiblocs to my 4 year old and six year old nephews. They have been having a blast competing with each other to build the tallest tower. I think their dad likes the blocks even better than the kids. Excellent choice for kids of all ages. I especially like the fact that there are no electronics involved.
Gepetto's Toy Box is a great little store. The Citiblocs are wonderful. My four year old son loved them, as well. He loves to build and his imagination just soared with this toy. Frances Reinhardt
